Robin's Nest

Robin

A note from Robin

I spent twenty years working in hospitals and care facilities, watching what happened when the staffing was thin, the hallways were long, and the faces were unfamiliar. I saw residents who had lived full, rich lives reduced to a room number on a clipboard.

That's not care. That's management.

Robin's Nest was built on a different idea entirely. A small home — not a facility. Semi-private rooms where residents have their own space. A garden they can walk through when the weather is kind. A kitchen that smells like something real is cooking. A caregiver who knows their name, their history, and what makes them feel like themselves.

I am a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I have spent my career learning how to care well — not just clinically, but as a human being. Robin's Nest was founded in 2021 on a faith-based foundation: a belief that every person deserves to be honored and loved, especially in their most vulnerable years.

We are located between South Bend and LaPorte on three acres of Indiana countryside. Our residents eat food from our own garden, spend time outdoors when the weather allows, and celebrate every holiday and birthday like it matters — because it does.

If you're reading this, you're probably trying to do right by someone you love. I want to help you do that. Call me — I'll be honest with you about whether this is the right fit.
